Thinking too much junk is bad for you, it makes you sick and it harms your mental health. Compulsive thinking, daydreaming and obsessing is a coping strategy for the pain your feel and the suffering you are experiencing, what else can you do but try to escape the pain by pretending you are not really here.
A healthy body eats and enjoys wholesome food in moderation. Likewise a healthy mind thinks and enjoys wholesome thoughts in moderation too. The healthy body does not eat what it does not need and the healthy mind does not think what it does not need.
At least one part of compulsion is habit which can be changed. Any residual underlying pain in your life is something you must tackle head on with bravery. Seek the truth at the heart of your life and do not fear pain or flee from it. The only real way to conquer it is to tackle it head on. Say yes to what you know is right and no to what you know is wrong, and never be afraid to take the steps you need to get you to the discovery of your own truth. There is nothing more precious.
