The path of God ― 2 min read
When you follow the path of God you no longer need to worry about whether or not you are doing the right thing or making the right decision. Following it may not fit in with your plans and you may not understand the wider context of where following it will actually lead you, but you don't need either of these things. When you surrender to your inner voice and let go of your preconceptions and the preconceptions of those around you about how you should live your life and the choices you should make then you are automatically living in a place of freedom and meaning. There is nothing further you need to do. Simply do what it is that you know is right in this moment. Learn to listen and you will find the way.
The path of God is also the Tao - the way. It is a calling, destiny, an inner voice. It is listening to your heart or listening to your gut. Stoics speak of living in accordance with nature. I don't know what to call it or how to express it because I don't believe it's well defined anywhere. "Path of God" is a religiously loaded way of speaking about this, but I don't believe any sort of belief in God is necessary for understanding the concept. I like talking of the path of God because it gets us to look at this as something mysterious and coming from a totally different place than our ego, because that's exactly the nature of it. It's such a subtle, fundamental and personal thing and each of us has to learn and explore it in our own way.
